I am teaching Art Therapy: Glitter this week at Scrappin' in the City here in Knoxville. I try to have several Art Therapy classes each month...the goal, adult playtime. Low key and fun. I don't usually have an end project as the goal...just playing with fun products. With glitter, though, it is hard to NOT make something. This time around we will be making fun summer themed cards.
The glitter is Glitter Ritz and Ellzabeth Crafts Glitter Silks. These are fabulous glitters. I absolutely love them! In the microfine glitter category...these two are the winners...beautiful, easy, versitile. For this glitter class we will be playing with glitter a little differently... using lots of color under and on top of the clear glitter (Distress Stains under and Copics on top). We will also be playing around with some fun mix media mediums (say that 3 times fast!).Then there is a little misting and some acetate, a little cork, and peel off stickers too. The ice-cream cone is a Silhouette cut out colored with colored glitters (everything else uses clear glitter!).
I hope to see some of you in class (link to SITC), everyone else, enjoy looking!
As always, go have fun crafting!
