I love water coloring with Distress Ink. Add the new layered stamps, and you can create spectacular images. So I look like an amazing artist, and while it does take some skill, not the level of skill I would need to free-hand this. This stamp set is the Simon Says Stamp Layered Flowers. This was from the Stamptember event and was created by Altenew for Simon Says Stamp. Therefore, I had to have it (I love Altenew’s flowers!). This card was inspired by Yoonsun Hur’s card with the same set (Go look at her card, it is spectacular!).
Distress Inks used: Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Fired Brick, Mustard Seed, Ground Espresso, and Tumbled Glass. I also used Ranger’s watercolor paper, a waterbrush, SSS Big Scripty Greetings stamp set, VersaFine Black ink, and clear embossing powder.
A couple of notes: This set of flower stamps is fairly easy to line up (yay!), and I sprayed the paper with a light but thorough misting of water before stamping.
